Kate has been working in the field of ABA therapy since 2013. She began as an in-home therapist working with children with autism and related developmental disorders first for Rocket ASD Specialists, and then for Lizard Centre in Adelaide.
She worked as an in-home therapist for 2 years, then progressed to a Senior Behaviour Therapist in 2015, before becoming a Program Supervisor in January 2017. During this time Kate provided 1:1 therapy to children in home, centre, and childcare settings, as well as providing 1:1 shadow support in childcare, kindergarten and school settings.
As a Program Supervisor Kate frequently collaborated with educators at childcares, kindergartens, and schools to provide consistent support to her clients across their home, educational, and community environments.

Kate’s special interests include reduction of challenging behaviour that present a barrier to learning through functional communication training, increasing communication through PECS and other AACs for non-vocal learners, and disseminating information about ABA through presentations and professional development workshops.
