Alexandra Ahlgren began her career in ABA in 2013 when she commenced employment working in-home with children with autism using ABA therapy.
In her role as a Program Supervisor and Clinical Director, she has extensive experience in overseeing ABA programs for clients as young as 18 months and up to young adults. This has included designing and overseeing programs addressing skill deficits across all developmental domains, conducting functional behaviour assessments and designing behaviour support plans, using a range of skill assessment tools, reporting on initial assessments and client progress to caregivers as well as the NDIA, and providing ongoing support to staff at schools, kindergartens and day/child care centres.
She has been a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) since 2015 and is the founder of ABA for Change. She is also a Teaching Associate for the ABA Masters Program at Monash University.
Alexandra is passionate about providing services to the highest standard possible to her clients and takes a particular interest in teaching functional communication skills, increasing personal independence skills and reducing behaviours of concern.
